The quilt top is constructed of multicolored hexagons, each measuring one inch per side. The hexagons arc sewn together with whipstitching. The central medallion and the border are predominantly brown. The piece is quilted overall in a diamond gild, except for the border, which is quilted to follow the stripes printed on the fabric.
