This artwork is currently on display in Gallery 684
This boxwood instrument stems from the heyday of theGrenser company, when it maintained a work force of six. The angled version ofthe horn (hence the name cor anglé) is characteristic of German instruments ofthe second half of the eighteenth century. The pitch of the longer uppersection is a’ = 430 Hz, the shorter about 440 Hz.
