See 1994.250.60 original 120mm contact sheets and negative envelopes. Date per negative envelopes and letters from Evans to his wife (NA 1994.6.1-29) in WEA. Evans seems to have gone to California to give lessons in photography to Florence Homolka in the late summer of 1947; these negatives, probably made at this time, became the basis for the photographs reproduced in ¦Flair¦ in the following decade. There are also contact sheets of strips of 35mm negatives made from train window and of Homolka (?) that are inscribed in Evans's hand "California RR trip scenery 1954," and which for that reason have not been included as part of the group [1994.253.784.1-120].
