The Pair Statue of Memi and Sabu, Dynasty IV (ca. 2575–2465 B.C.). Rogers Fund, 1948 (48.111)
This more than 4,000-year-old statue of a husband and wife exhibits a mood of intimate tenderness. The relationship between the two is expressed through the embrace they share.
