The Mourning Virgin, 18th century, Germany. Harris Brisbane Dick Fund, 1971 (1971.15)
A moving portrayal of deep sorrow, this Baroque sculpture was originally part of a painted wood Crucifixion group of the Virgin and Saint John flanking the crucified Christ.
