Silla and Kaya tombs have yielded a number of vessels of this type, usually found in pairs. Attached to the perforated pedestal are two sculpted wheels; the pedestal is surmounted by a pair of cups, which are connected at the base by a tube, allowing liquid to rise to the same level in both cups. Such vessels may have been used as containers for water or wine in rituals or funerary ceremonies.
