Special Announcement
The Medieval Art galleries are currently undergoing renovation and portions of these areas will be closed until late 2008. When construction is complete, the apse will be part of the Mary and Michael Jaharis Byzantine Galleries. The adjacent gallery, formerly the Tapestry Hall, will be devoted to works of art in all media from the early Middle Ages to 1300. Key medieval works will be temporarily relocated to other galleries as space permits. As construction areas shift, visitors' route maps will be posted throughout the galleries. For more information, please call 212-570-3791 during Museum hours or inquire at an Information Desk upon arrival at the Museum.
