Acquired from the artist by Josse Bernheim-Jeune and his brother Gaston Bernheim-Jeune, March 30, 1923, , Fontainebleu and Paris; Gaston Bernheim de Villers (i.e. Gaston Bernheim-Jeune; documented in his collection by 1937); acquired by Robert Lehman, Port Washington, Long Island, New York from Sam Salz, New York, in November 1948.
