This quilt's top is pieced of calicos, primarily in shades of browns and rusts. The backing fabric is a dark brown calico. The inscription is appliqued on the bottom edge. It is quilted in a variety of patterns; each small square in the Nine Patch blocks is quilted with an X. The Flying Geese border is chevron quilted.
