This Breton vest has a stunning appearance as a result of the various textures and dimensions created by padding and stitch variety. The motifs are very effective, with an arresting pattern. The style of embroidery is emblematic of the costumes worn by both men and women in Pont-l'Abbé, Brittany, with elaborate work done by skilled craftsmen, usually men.
