This piece was made for Emily Crane Chadbourne before 1910, when it was exhibited in London. The ring descended to her niece Florence Crane Belosselsky-Belozersky, sometime before 1947, when it was loaned to the Rhode Island School of Design Museum for an exhibition. Florence Crane Belosselsky-Belozersky later gave the ring to her daughter, Tatiana Bezemat, who is the current owner.
