This ensemble shows the close collaboration between Du Paquier and Viennese goldsmiths. The painted decoration frames the gold mounts, and the classical heads on the gold trembleuse galleries are echoed in the beakers’ design. The central gold shell held a spoon, now missing. Sumptuous porcelain creations incorporating rare, precious materials were reported in the newspaper Wienerisches Diarium, but few survive.
