Inscription: Inscribed on apron in four vertical lines: "Hands of I pray you Handle not me / For I am blind and you can see / If you love me lend me not / For fear of breaking lend me not".
Around lip of cup: "When riches faile friends groe scant. No cut to unkindness, no woe to want."

Marking: [1] IA or JA in monogram script, conjoined (maker's mark)

Location of mark:
[1] near hem of figure's apron, near words "me not",
and also on small swinging cup at rim under the 'n' of the word "when".
