Inscription: Inscribed on the tang of the blade, on the obverse: 肥前國住藤原忠廣 (Hizen no Kuni jū Fujiwara Tadahiro) (Fujiwara Tadahiro, residing in Hizen Province [present-day Saga Prefecture]); on the reverse: 寛永十三年二月吉日 (Kanei jūsan-nen ni-gatsu kichi-jitsu) (Thirteenth year of Kanei , second month, auspicious day).
