According to "Impressed by Light: British Photographs from Paper Negatives," 1840-1860 (2007) J. Hogarth published a portfolio of Murray's views titled "Catalogue of One Hundred and Sixty-Three Photographic Views in Malta, Alexandria, Cairo, Thebes, Upper Egypt, and Nubia by Robert Murray" in 1856. A second edition of the portfolio was published in 1858. The published prints were albumen silver prints made from Murray's negatives though he is known to have produced salted paper prints from his negatives as well.

The "155" and title inscribed on mount correspond to the subject listed in Murray's 1856 Catalogue.
