Sotheby's Nov. 17-18, 1980 auction catalog provides the title "Madame Vacarescu, Rumanian Author and Deputy to League of Nations, Geneva"; and Erich Salomon, Portrait of an Age (see bibliography) gives the caption, "Miss Vacarescu, Rumanian poetess and deputy to the League of Nations, eloquently pleading the cause of peace."
