Arnold Crane acquired these negatives directly from the artist in the late 1960s along with approximately 1,200 prints. The vast majority of the latter is now in the collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum. See TR. 431.72-95.2001 for another group of negatives purchased by the Museum from Crane.
