Baldus photographed this same subject as part of his mission héliographique in 1851, encompassing more of the surrounding square and buildings (Negative MH 7489, Musée d'Orsay). The nearby Temple of Augustus and Livia was also among the subjects of his 1851 campaign, but oddly, Baldus never photographed it on his many later visits to the region. [MD]
