This two-story house is filled with activity surrounding the preparation and enjoyment of a feast. Below, a woman prepares corn on a grinding stone (metate), with plates of food laid out in front of her; a dog sits at the entryway waiting for precious crumbs to fall. Upstairs, the feast is in full swing. The slightly larger figure resting against the back wall may be the host or head of the family.
