Inscription: Annotated in pen and dark brown ink at lower left, by a 17th or 18th century hand: "Dandini." And annotated in graphite by 19th century hand (probably by the same restorer retouching the figure): "Cesare Dandini." Annotated in black chalk on verso of old mount: "Cesare Dandini." And annotated by very early hand in pen and brown ink over the patch at lower right, partly illegible.
