Inscription: The old mount is annotated in graphite on recto: "Guercino/ from Wm. Young Ottley Coll.n/ from the Jonathan Richardson Coll.n." The verso is annotated as we can see in transparency: a letter.
Marking: Stamp of Jonathan Richardson, Jr. (Lugt 2179) on lower right recto. Initials "WYO" in elision of William Young Ottley (Lugt 2665), written in pen and brown ink, center of verso of old mount. No watemark visible: sheet glued on to an old mount.
