(color), suggests "a date as early as 1807 or 1808 and in any event little later than about 1812" and tentatively identifies it as one of two views [the other is Morgan Library & Museum, New York, 2002.58] that, together, may have comprised lots 382–83 or 394–95 in Michallon's posthumous sale, Paris, December 22–25, 1822.
