Inscription: - Bearing the name of Al-Malik An-Nasir (1293-1340). Translation of Arabic inscription by Nicholas Martinovitch: on neck : "Glory to our Lord the Sultan, the King (Malik), the Victorious (An-Nasir), the Wise, the Just, the Warrior for Religion, the Defender of Frontiers, the Protector." On the three shields: "Glory to our Lord, the Sultan, the King." On body: "Glory to Our Lord, the King, the Wise, the Just, the Defender of Frontiers." On foot: "The 'wakf' [inalienable property] of the blessed and praiseworthy convert Al-Kerimi in Al-Karafa. Allah receive him who established this wakf and conclude his life with goodness and mercy, and forgiveness of his sins. O Lord of two worlds!" On the three shields: "Glory to our Lord, the Sultan, the King."
