Inscription: Arabic; translation: "Glory to our Lord, the mighty Sultan, who rules over (i.e. puts his foot upon) the necks of the Nations, aided [by Allah] against his enemies, [Sultan] of the Sultans of the Arabs [and of] the Persians (or non-Arabs), ... the Wise, the Just, the Honorable". (Interpretation of inscription by H.E. McAllister. Compare Sarre, Erzeugnisse Islamische Kunst, pt. 1, Metall, no. 42, and other nos.)

"Glory to our lord the greatest sultan, the owner of the necks of the nations, the supported, the justest sultan of the Arabs and the Persians... the learned, the just, the dignified".
