Inscription: In Persian, in cartouche between elephant's legs, possibly Shah Jahan's handwriting; b)six lines of nasta'liq script written diagonally.
Translation: a) "Picture of 'Alam-guman Gajraj (the arrogant one of the earth, king of elephants) whose value is one lakh rupees." i.e. one hundred thousand rupees.#CR#b)Leaf of Persian poetry.
