Like the bench depicted on the central panel of Campin's Annunciation Triptych, in this room, this bench is decorated with finials in the form of lions and dogs. The hinged seat could be lifted so that the cavity underneath could serve as a storage space.
Said to have come from a convent in Valladolid; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Small Moore, Palm Beach (until 1944)
