Fantasy defines this striking confection, which combines generically Asian elements-the exotic dancing figures that look like they stepped from the pages of the Arabian Nights and the stepped pagoda-like lid with its pendant bells-with an updated take on the high-style porcelain figurines and table decorations of the eighteenth century.
