For Decoeur, the ancient Chinese were the undisputed masters of the art
of ceramics. Throughout his career he never ceased trying to understand
their methods and transform them into new and modern forms of expression.
The subtle glaze and elegant lines of this piece clearly pay homage to
Oriental masters.
