Kurmata, one of the most important and innovative designers of the late twentieth century, was fascinated by the visual possibilities of acrylics. This vase typifies the elegance and poetic lyricism of his minimalist aesthetic. Its decorative effect changes with light and viewpoint, exploiting the optical effects of the material.
