Almost an exact copy of the Chinese Yueqin ('Moon Lute'), the seung is found in found in Northern Thailand. This 19th-century model with 10 frets is dedcorated with a bat, a Chinese reference to good luck. The lute is found in different sizes and is used in ensembles or played as a solo instrument.
