This small pottery jar was sealed with a piece of linen cloth. It was found in the tomb of Hatnefer inside a basket that is now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. The basket also contained a razor (36.3.69), a necklace (36.3.70), a sealed juglet (36.3.67), and a linen sheet (36.3.140).
Excavated by the Egyptian Expedition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1935–1936. Acquired by the Museum in the division of finds, 1936.
