#MetKids, a new online feature made for, with, and by kids.
«Hello there! Today's the day: #MetKids, our new online feature—made for, with, and by kids—has officially launched. We're very excited to share it with you and hear what you think. Want to get started? Read on!»
Explore the Map

The #MetKids map has lots of artworks, spaces, and places to discover.
If there is one thing that's certain, there is a lot to see at the Met. Roam at your own pace with the #MetKids map. We'll start you off with 125 artworks, and we'll be adding more, so keep checking in!
Move around the map to discover art from around the Museum—and from around the world—all with information written just for kids. Click the red pins to discover fun facts, insider tips, and creative ideas inspired by art. The yellow pins are some of our favorite spaces and places.
Can you spot the tiny suit of armor that was created for a young prince? Or one of the largest musical instruments in the world? What else will you find?
Hop in the Time Machine

Use the time machine to explore the Met in new ways.
With over five thousand years of art to explore, visiting the Met can feel like traveling through time. Ready for an adventure? Use the #MetKids time machine to select the destinations that interest you. You can also search by time periods or big ideas. Program your own journey!
Careful with that blinking button, though. We hear it's a little wonky!
Watch Videos

These are just a few of our #MetKids reporters.
Kids and art? That's a winning combination! In our Q&A videos, go behind the scenes with trusty kid reporters to get the inside scoop on the Museum. Feeling crafty? Follow the instructions in our Create channel to learn how to make your own works of art. The Celebrate section highlights fun festivals that you can attend throughout the year. Don't forget to check out Made by Kids, where you can watch videos created by talented kids like yourselves. Get inspired by the Met from wherever you call home.
Celebrate #MetKids in Person
What's a launch without a party? Join us at the #MetKids Launch Party on Sunday, September 20, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., for a day of art making, film screenings, and the opportunity to get your own questions answered by our Museum experts. All #MetKids are welcome—and by that, of course, we mean YOU!
