Wall Reliefs from Tell el-Amarna: A Fresh Way of Seeing the World The 17–year reign of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten (1353–1337 B.C.) ushered in profound religious changes that were reflected in the art and architecture of the age, especially in temple ground plans and temple decoration. The many temple reliefs from Amarna in the Museum's collection are ideal for discussion and reflection on this new vision of the old world.
