The Outlaw

Frederic Remington American
Cast by Roman Bronze Works

Not on view

Here a cowboy breaks in a newly saddled horse that is bucking in resistance. The weight of the group is borne on the horse’s left front hoof, which is entangled with sagebrush. The Metropolitan’s bronze is almost certainly a posthumous, unauthorized cast done by Roman Bronze Works.
