Napoleon I (1769–1821), Emperor of the French
One of a group of Napoleonic portraits in wax by Santarelli owned by the Museum (38.145.36–.39). A very similar example in the Bargello, Florence was probably the model for Santarelli's incised cameo bust (in right profile) of Napoleon, now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.
