Bronze helmet of Illyrian type

The Illyrian helmet was a popular type in the Classical period. A similiar helmet with the elaborate plumed crest that was once attached between the ridges on the top appears on silver tetraobols of the Macedonian King Perdiccas II (ca. 454-413 B.C.).
