This female bodhisattva holds her hands in dharmachakra mudra (teaching gesture), but the broken flower stalk could have supported various symbols, leaving her identity uncertain. A book would make her Prajnaparamita, the personification of the Perfection of Wisdom manuscript, and as such she would represent the totality of the Mahayana canon and the very incarnation of wisdom.
