This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of five plates depicting fireplaces in the modern style. The sixth plate is by Dolivar. The series was published by Jean Le Pautre.
