Heinrich Reinhold German

Not on view

In 1823, Reinhold visited the Gulf of Sorrento with fellow artists Johann Joachim Faber (1778–1846) and Carl Wilhelm Götzloff (1799–1866), all of whom painted this view. The present composition exists in another version, usually dated about 1824 (Neue Pinakotek, Munich).
