Wen Jia's colophon dated 1562 already mentions the fact that the Shen Shichen painting is appended to Zhao Yuan's work. To commemorate this combination Wang Shu, the last colophon writer also wrote a frontispiece for the scroll dated 1734. the four characters of the Title, written in large seal script read "Zhao shen hebi" (Zhao and shen united).
