At its height, the complex at Longquan operated more than 200 kilns, making it one of the largest in China. Unlike most of the other celadon-producing centers, Longquan remained active well into the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, producing significant quantities of ceramics often for export to Southeast and West Asia.
