Not on view

After an engraving by Jacob Houbraken that was included in Thomas Birch's "The Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britian," published by John and Paul Knapton beginning in 1737, which itself was based on a miniature by Isaac Oliver, formerly belonging to Dr. Richard Mead, now in the Royal Collection (Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery). The miniature has frequently been associated with Mary, Queen of Scots, as have many of the prints after the Oliver painting. The correct identity of the sitter remains unknown.
