Panels with Scrolling Floral Design

18th century
Not on view
These floral panels came from a pair of chair covers, probably from the segment that covered the back of the chair. The two panels are not identical: seen side by side, they exhibit the elegant mirror-imaging that is typical of pairs of chair strips.
