Established in 1998, the Arts of Korea Gallery presents the many facets of Korea's distinctive cultural and artistic traditions encompassing all media—ceramics, painting, sculpture, metalwork, lacquer, and textile—from about the fourth century B.C. through today. Displays are regularly rotated to feature either a special exhibition or a thematic installation that highlights a different aspect of the collection.
Masterpieces include an exquisite mid-seventh-century gilt-bronze Pensive Bodhisattva, fourteenth-century Buddhist paintings, Goryeo celadon ceramics, and sixteenth-century landscape and literati paintings.
