On view in this gallery are unique works from the middle of the eighteenth dynasty, a time when Egypt was at its peak in wealth, political stability, and the arts. Objects include a battle relief representing Asiatics fallen under the pharaoh's chariot, a portrait sculpture representing Amenhotep III (ca. 1390–1353 B.C.), a sphinx of the same king in blue faience, finely carved carnelian and sard bracelet inlays, and the side board from a throne of Thutmose IV (ca. 1400–1390 B.C.).
