This study gallery features a large number of objects excavated by William Flinders Petrie at Amarna, King Akhenaten's residence city, that reveal much about the statue program in the Amarna temples despite extensive destruction by his successors. Other objects include remains from Tutankhamun's embalming and funeral, from the 1907 excavations of Theodore M. Davis in the Valley of the Kings as well as pieces from the late New Kingdom.
