Delicate faience inlays, deity figurines in faience and bronze, and vessels of silver and bronze all dating to the Ptolemaic era are among the objects displayed in this gallery. Important is a group of limestone plaques with animal and human figures in relief. Often called "sculptors' trial pieces" but more probably used as votives, their didactic iconography and style demonstrates how important it was to the Egyptians to keep their traditions alive.
