The works of art displayed in the Stavros and Danaë Costopoulos Gallery reflect the artistic accomplishments of Athens at its height, as well as the influence that the Parthenon (built between 447 and 432 B.C.) had on objects in other media.
Prominent also are funerary vases covered with a white slip and decorated in a range of colors not previously used in Greek ceramics.
