Gallery 306 displays large Gothic sculptures from the Chateau of Biron in the Dordogne region of France, stained-glass panels, ivories, manuscripts, and goldsmiths' work from the later Middle Ages. The stained glass comes from important churches in Northern Europe. Liturgical objects made of precious materials such as silver and ivory are complemented by illuminated manuscripts, as well as by objects created in a variety of material for secular purposes, including personal adornment.
