A stylistically diverse group of European artists won recognition at the turn of the twentieth century. The Nabis and Symbolists in France, Bloomsbury Group in England, and Vienna Secession in Austria employed a range of styles and palettes, but as can be seen in this gallery, some subject matter was common to them all, most notably intimate domestic scenes and portraits of solitary standing figures.
This gallery is one of ten that comprise the Henry J. Heinz II Galleries.
